Overview
Courtside is a storytelling portfolio system built around the idea that a portfolio doesn't have to feel like a static collection of projects.
The visual direction takes inspiration from the rhythm, movement, and energy of basketball, but the template itself isn't intended only for basketball-related portfolios. The goal was to use that visual language as a storytelling device for designers who want their work to feel more personal.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create a portfolio identity that had a strong personality without letting the theme overpower the work.
A basketball-inspired visual direction could easily become too literal, so the design needed to borrow the energy and rhythm of the sport while remaining flexible enough to work for a professional designer's portfolio.
The Solution
I built the system around strong typography, editorial composition, deliberate pacing, and visual transitions that create a sense of movement between projects.
Instead of using basketball imagery as decoration throughout the interface, the concept influences the rhythm of the layouts and the way projects are presented.
The result is a portfolio system that feels energetic and distinctive while keeping the actual work at the center.

Results
Courtside expanded my template work beyond conventional portfolio layouts and became an exploration of how a visual concept can influence the storytelling structure of a digital product.
It also helped establish a clearer direction for my work in Framer: not just building templates that look polished, but creating systems with a recognizable point of view.
